The Research & Development Society would like to formally announce a workshop developed in collaboration with Westcott Space Cluster.
The Research and Development Society is bringing together stakeholders from across the drone and broader defence sectors to discuss the commercial environment for tech-enabled SMEs. We will be placing the problems of small companies at the heart of our discussion as we identify the core challenges and potential solutions that can be delivered as part of the new Industrial Strategy White Paper expected Spring 2025.
This programme will be comprised of a closed invite-only event held at Westcott Drone Test & Development Centre where we will discuss how new approaches to commercialisation can support new initiatives in emerging markets. Invitees will be given the opportunity to place the focus on the greatest challenges they are facing as we work to identify solutions that can be incorporated into the government’s strategy. We will then be hosting an open online event in where we will be presenting and refining our recommendations with the welcomed input of all with expertise in the realms of unmanned vehicles, industrial strategy and emergent markets.
